Twin Towers Middle School Murals
Twin Towers Middle School in Middletown, NY, commissioned Mark to be an artist-in-residence. In this capacity, Mark created mural designs on panels that were inspired by the unusual art deco design work on the outside of the school combined with mark’s own designs showing movement and repetition. The panels were designed to hang on the wall in a row above the rows of lockers down a hallway. Students transferred drawn designs to masonite panels and helped paint them using a restricted palette. The detail photos here show the variety of panels that were painted including owls and abstract art deco designs from the exterior of the building.
