Iron Gates on Fire doors

These iron gates are painted on fire doors that lead to a Sunday school center in the basement of a church. They are the entrance to the “town”. (Each room in the hallway is decorated to be a different place in the town) The client sent us 2 examples of iron-gate designs that she liked. Mark combined the best of both sets of gates to come up with a unique full-sized drawing of the gates. He then transferred the design to all four sides of the doors and painted them. The doors usually remain open so the client walks through the open gates into the space. In addition to the gates, Mark painted graffiti style letters saying “work in progress” above a stenciled warehouse sign for their teen meeting room.
